Classroom Based SEMH TA - Recent Graduates wanted! South Manchester. The school provides a vibrant and supportive environment for young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. These young people will have an Educational Health and Care Plan (EHCP) to help them to engage with the curriculum. Your role will be to provide mentorship and some academic support to Primary aged students. Ideally you will be drawing on still you have, from a background or studies in the following areas; health & social care, psychology, youth work, sports coaching. If you have done placements as part of your course in a formal setting, or have supported students, or have any other experience of mentoring children and young adults paid or unpaid, wed love to hear from you. Hours- Monday to Friday 8.30am-3.45pm 1:1 Mentor and SEN TA Supporting a pupil who is struggling to work in a static classroom environment. Your role will be to act as a mentor to get to the heart of the issue with the young person and come up with an action plan/targets to achieve to support them back in the classroom. You would be working with children with various learning disabilities and need extra support in the classroom.
