Salary - £30,000 We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Wedding and Events Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of weddings, private celebrations, and corporate events at the Gonville Hotel. This role requires a highly organised, client-focused professional with a flair for creativity, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple events seamlessly.
You will be responsible for, but not limited to, performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Event Planning and Coordination
Manage all aspects of weddings, private parties, social ticketed events, and corporate events from enquiry to execution.
Develop personalised event proposals, timelines, and budgets to meet client needs and exceed expectations.
Ensure smooth coordination between clients, internal teams, and external suppliers.
Client Relationship Management
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing professional guidance and support throughout the planning process.
Build long-term relationships with clients to encourage repeat bookings and referrals.
Handle client feedback with professionalism, implementing improvements where necessary.
Operational Management
Work closely with the kitchen, housekeeping, and F&B teams to guarantee seamless event delivery.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, licensing, and legal requirements.
Sales and Business Development
Promote the hotel's unique event spaces.
Source external production companies for social ticketed events.
Actively drive event bookings through networking, site visits, and relationship management with wedding planners, corporates, and event agencies.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop campaigns, packages, and promotions for weddings and events.
Assist in forecasting revenue and setting pricing strategies for weddings and events.
Ensure compliance with financial policies and company accounting standards.
Administration
Prepare contracts, function sheets, invoices, and post-event feedback reports.
Monitor budgets, track revenue, and contribute to performance analysis and strategic planning.
You must have the right to work in the UK to be eligible for this role. Documented evidence of eligibility will be required from all candidates prior to commencing employment.
