3 Months Contract with a Local Authority
Summary
* This role involves performing grounds maintenance and horticultural duties across designated sites, ensuring that lawns, gardens, and public outdoor spaces, including those within the crematorium environment, are kept tidy, attractive, safe, and well-maintained. This position is crucial for maintaining the aesthetic and functional quality of these areas.
Responsibilities
* Perform all aspects of grounds maintenance, including mowing, hedge trimming, pruning, weeding, planting, and general upkeep of lawns and landscaped areas.
* Maintain the visual appearance and accessibility of outdoor spaces at all assigned sites, including crematorium grounds.
* Operate grounds machinery and equipment safely and in accordance with training and site procedures.
* Travel between sites (KGV, Astwood, St John’s) as required, transporting tools, equipment, and crew members.
Requirements
* Experience:
o Previous experience in grounds maintenance, gardening, landscaping, or outdoor manual work (preferred).
o Experience operating basic grounds machinery such as mowers, trimmers, and hedge cutters (desirable).
o Experience working in public-facing or sensitive environments is an advantage.
* Qualifications:
o Full UK Driving Licence (required).
o Towing Licence (desirable, not essential).
o Ability to travel independently between multiple sites.
o DBS check (required for assignment).

* Location: Tintern Avenue, Astwood Road, Worcester, Worcestershire, WR3 8HA, United Kingdom
* Schedule: Monday-Thursday 07:30-15:30, Friday 07:30-15:00

* Interview: To be conducted onsite
* Assessment: Must pass induction/driver assessment; company vehicle provided for travel between sites
* Interviews: Scheduled for the week commencing 30/03/26 and 06/04/2026
* Payment: Bi-weekly
