Robertson Bell are excited to partner with this pivotal public sector organisation as they go to market for a Management Accountant position on a permanent basis. Do not miss the opportunity to receive guidance, training, and study support as you play a key part of their finance team and lead a team of two Assistant Management Accountants.
In this role, you will:
1. Prepare comprehensive management reports utilizing Excel, ensuring accurate data presentation. Conduct detailed financial data analysis to provide actionable insights, supporting strategic decision-making processes.
2. Collaborate with Auditors to ensure accurate and compliant year-end financial reporting, addressing queries and preparing detailed statements promptly.
3. Work closely with Finance Business Partners, gather data for forecasting, and report financial movements to the Head of Finance.
4. Oversee two part-qualified management accountants, ensuring quality work, fostering a collaborative environment, and supporting their development.
5. Analyse payroll and estate costs, address queries from the wider business and audits, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Based near Liverpool, the successful candidate will benefit from a hybrid working pattern, requiring you to go into the office twice a week. 6. Be actively studying towards an ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA accounting qualification.
7. Have a background working in a finance role where you have produced reports and analysis of financial information.
8. Be a proficient excel user and be confident manipulating data on a spreadsheet and creating formulas.
