Permanent shifts to include 1 x 24hr shift, 10am to 10am and 1 x 6 hour shift, 9am to 3pm per week on sailing days only. On non-sailing days the shift will be 10am-4pm or 12pm-6pm .

This includes personal care, supporting education and leisure activities, and working closely with family members, therapists and professionals.Full training will be provided - no previous care experience is required, just the right values, commitment and willingness to learn.There is a small dog in the home. Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupporting with all aspects of personal care, maintaining dignity and respect at all timesAssisting with nutrition, hydration and medication, including gastrostomy care (training provided)Supporting physiotherapy, hydrotherapy and exercise programmes as directedSupporting college work, hobbies, leisure and social activitiesPromoting independence, communication, confidence and choiceSafe use of specialist equipment including hoists, wheelchairs and seating systemsDriving and supporting access to the community, education and activitiesMaintaining accurate daily records and good communication with the care teamSupporting infection prevention, safety and hygiene standardsProviding emotional reassurance and supportWorking collaboratively as part of a dedicated support teamSafeguardingILS is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our clients.
