Senior Accountant (Accountancy Practice)
* Location: Leicestershire (Loughborough-based)
* Salary: £45,000–£50,000
* Type: Permanent (37.5 hrs/week)

The opportunity
* Join a well-established local accountancy practice with a strong SME client base across a range of industries
* Firm specialises in accounting, bookkeeping and proactive tax planning services
Key responsibilities
* Manage a portfolio of clients end-to-end
* Prepare financial statements, management accounts and tax returns
* Produce accurate, timely VAT returns
* Act as the main point of contact for clients, advising on:
* Statutory filing deadlines and compliance
* Tax planning
* Cashflow planning
What we’re looking for
* Qualified accountant (or part-qualified with strong, relevant practice experience)
* Experience preparing financial statements, management accounts and initial tax returns
* Strong VAT knowledge and confidence dealing directly with clients
* Strong working knowledge of FRS 102 / FRS 105
* Excellent communication skills and a proactive, self-starting approach
