The Team
Estates Management & Development is responsible for the maintenance, compliance, sustainability, and development of the University\'s estate.
The team supports the University\'s strategic goals, including its commitment to environmental sustainability and carbon reduction.
The Role
We are seeking a motivated and technically minded person to work as Energy Officer in our Estates team. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, Compliance & Sustainability, you will play a key role in managing the University\'s utility contracts, energy data, and Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS). You will support the delivery of energy and environmental projects, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with statutory obligations.
This is a hands-on role requiring a blend of technical understanding, data analysis, and project delivery. You will work closely with contractors and internal stakeholders to implement energy efficiency improvements and contribute to the University\'s sustainability goals.
Required skills and experience
* Be educated to degree level in a numerate or technical discipline.
* Have strong IT skills, including advanced Excel.
* Preferably have experience with energy data analysis and BEMS systems, though this is not essential.
* Have a proactive, enthusiastic approach to sustainability and energy management.
