Contract Operations Manager, DHL Supply Chain. Location: Skelmersdale, UK. Permanent (Full-Time).
Grade: RCS I

Responsibilities
* Lead daily operational activity alongside the onsite operations team and work closely with the customer to ensure KPIs, safety measures and service expectations are consistently met.
* Drive a Safety First culture by reviewing incident reports, ensuring corrective actions are completed, and coaching teams on behavioural-based safety practices.
* Review site financials, overtime spend, labour planning and volume forecasts to ensure operational efficiency and budget alignment.
* Meet with customers to review SLA performance, discuss improvement opportunities and strengthen long-term relationships.
* Lead leadership activities such as talent development, coaching, performance management and succession planning across multiple reporting layers.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives, validate project benefits and present site performance and priorities in monthly leadership meetings.
Qualifications / What this role would suit
* Proficiency in Mandarin and English is required to effectively support communication with an international customer base.
* Strong background in operational logistics; able to thrive in high-pressure, high-volume settings while maintaining short-term operational performance and long-term strategic focus.
* Confident leaders who can inspire, challenge, and develop teams while maintaining high operational standards.
* Excellent at building strong customer relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
* Enjoy solving complex problems and driving continuous improvement across processes, people, and performance.
* Commercially minded and comfortable making decisions backed by data, financials, and operational KPIs.
