About The Role
We have an opportunity for a SEND Assisted Travel Support Officer to join our busy SEND Assisted Travel office on a 6‑month fixed term contract.
This role supports the administration and operations of a busy Special Needs transport team, looking after vulnerable children and adults travelling to and from home to schools, colleges and day centres.
Responsibilities include arranging sickness/absence cover for our c300 part‑time passenger assistants, processing invoices and parental expenses, and dealing with email inboxes and queries/phone calls both internal and external.
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will be a dynamic, well‑organised individual, experienced in public sector work and able to remain calm under pressure.
Qualifications:
* Office experience including telephone work
* Computer literate – proficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word and Teams
* Ability to process invoices and payments
This post is subject to a standard DBS check.
Other Requirements
Eligibility to work in the UK will be verified in the final stages of the selection process. All candidates must either already have a right to work in the UK before commencing employment or meet the Home Office criteria for visa sponsorship.
