Cover Supervisor
Location: Secondary Schools – Macclesfield and Surrounding Areas
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Contract: Term Time Only
Start Date: September
Salary: £90–£120 per day (dependent on experience)

About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-prepared lessons in the absence of the class teacher. While no planning or marking is required, you’ll play a key role in maintaining a productive learning environment and ensuring continuity in students' education.
Responsibilities include:
Supervising whole classes during teacher absence
Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
Supporting students with tasks and ensuring they remain on task
Reporting back to teaching staff with any issues or feedback from the lesson
Building positive relationships with students and school staff
Person Specification:
We are looking for individuals who:
Have experience working with children or young people (e.g. in schools, coaching, youth work, tutoring)
Are confident, adaptable, and calm under pressure
Communicate effectively and can engage students positively
Can manage classroom behaviour and maintain order
Understand the importance of safeguarding and follow school protocols
Are considering a career in teaching or education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
