We invite applications for a Special Collections Teaching and Learning Coordinator to support and develop our special collections instruction program.
This role will coordinate teaching activities across the curatorial team, delivering introductory sessions to students and developing innovative learning resources utilizing our world-class collections of rare books, manuscripts, and archives. You will implement outreach strategies to promote engagement with academic departments, manage teaching documentation, and support the development of evaluation frameworks for teaching, learning, and research impact.
Working with curators and library colleagues, you will create both physical and digital teaching materials, coordinate staff communication relating to instruction, and contribute to promotional activities including blogs and social media.
The successful candidate will possess strong organizational and communication skills, experience in teaching or educational program coordination, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams. Knowledge of special collections, archives, or higher education learning environments is desirable.

The collections are a superb resource for research, teaching and learning and theLibraryhas a vibrant academic engagement programme.Through the John Rylands Research Institute, we deliver an extensive programme of research on the collections, in collaboration with academic colleagues from the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Manchester.
