As a hotel receptionist you will be both the first and last staff member that our customers meet. Above all it is important that you are friendly, professional and give great customer service.
We are a longstanding, independant York business owning and operating two hotels in the city centre. The Churchill Hotel is a 41 bedroom Four Star hotel with bar, restaurant and garden located on Bootham. We also have a smaller 19 bedroom hotel, Jorvik House just a short walk away on Marygate..
The role involves:
* checking guests both in and out of the hotel
* making bedroom, restaurant and garden reservations
* answering our telephones
* replying to email enquiries
* processing online reservations
* assisting with any guest queries
* the role is likely to involve working at both of our hotels.
We are seeking someone with relevant experience in hospitality and ideally who has held such a position previously.
The position is full time (five shifts of eight hours per week) and permanent. The role will involve evening and week-end working.
