Role Overview
As Apprentice Electrical Engineer you will work under the supervision of experienced electrical and building professionals to learn the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting across a range of electrical equipment.
Responsibilities
- Assist electrical engineers with the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems in commercial buildings.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including routine inspections and testing of electrical equipment.
- Assist in troubleshooting electrical faults and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, diagrams, and blueprints.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical engineering and recommend process improvements.
- Study towards a Level 3 Electrical Apprenticeship in Abingdon or Whitney while working alongside the experienced team.
- Travel to different sites within a geographical region as required and manage time and commitments to complete assignments.
- Support diverse and general maintenance activities across facilities as part of JLL's Total Facilities Management service delivery, including routine inspections, basic repairs, equipment servicing, and assisting with preventive maintenance schedules.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above. A grade 5 in Maths is required.
- Enthusiastic and passionate about a career in engineering.
- Eager to develop new skills and knowledge in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Good attendance, self‑discipline, and time management – meeting deadlines and managing multiple tasks effectively.
- Minimum age 18 years old.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
