Graduate Teaching Assistant

About the Role:
1. Work closely with teachers to support students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, Autism, or physical disabilities.
2. Assist in delivering tailored education plans for pupils with EHCPs.
3. Provide one-to-one or small group support to help students engage with learning.
4. Help create a safe and encouraging classroom environment.
5. Gain experience working alongside educational specialists such as Speech and Language Therapists and Educational Psychologists.
The ideal Applicant:
1. A graduate from any discipline – backgrounds in Childhood Studies, Psychology, Criminology, Health and Social Care, or Sports Studies are particularly relevant.
2. Someone who is patient, kind, and committed to supporting young learners.
3. A strong communicator who can build relationships with students and staff.
4. A reliable individual with a consistent and nurturing approach to education.
The Details:
1. Location: Carlisle
2. Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday
3. Start Date: ASAP, long-term role
