Health & Safety Technician / Officer – Temporary CoverReed Further Education are working with a college in the Melton Mowbray area who are seeking a Health & Safety Technician / Officer to join their team on a temporary basis.
Location: Melton MowbrayContract: Full-time, approx. 6 MonthsStart: ImmediatePay: Competitive, dependent on experience
The Role:You will support the Health & Safety function, carrying out a range of technician-level duties to ensure the college remains compliant with relevant H&S requirements. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with a practical understanding of health and safety processes.
Responsibilities include:
* Supporting general Health & Safety tasks across the site
* Assisting with compliance procedures and documentation
* Helping maintain safe working environments for staff and students
* Contributing to inspections, monitoring and reporting
* Working alongside the wider H&S team to ensure best practice
What you will need:
* A recognised Health & Safety qualification
* Basic understanding of Health & Safety compliance
* Experience carrying out general H&S tasks at technician level
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English
* DBS on the Update Service - desirable
