Overview
Positive Employment is currently recruiting for an Application Support Officer for our client, a local government organisation in Chester.
The successful candidate will support an essential team responsible for ensuring the effective operational delivery of the organisation's ERP system as part of a Transactional Shared Service.
The role has a focus on system administration, monitoring performance, maintaining system stability and working through support calls and service requests.
This role is a 2 month initial contract with the possibility to extend.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for ensuring the effective operational support and development of the Unit4 ERP system on behalf of the organisation.
* Manage service requests, escalating system defects and service requests with the 3rd party support contract.
* Provide frontline support of the Unit4 and linked systems including troubleshooting system problems, providing resolution.
* Processing service requests, access/security administration, UAT, and supporting system upgrades.
* Day to day responsibility for monitoring the system performance, support/defect calls and service requests.
* Undertake system administration duties for the Unit4 application.
Personal Requirements
* Must also have a history of working in system administration providing support for system defects and providing front line support.
* Experience and knowledge of transactional, finance and/or payroll processes is desirable as well as experience of investigating and troubleshooting system errors.
* Excellent communication skills and an ability to interpret and present data in a meaningful way.
* A pro-active and positive attitude with the ability to manage pressure effectively within a fast-paced environment is key.
* Functional configuration background ideally relating to Unit4 but other similar roles and experience would be desirable.
* Knowledge of the Unit4 application would be desirable as would experience in a similar system or position.
Working Hours
37 hours / 9:00am - 5:00pm / Monday to Friday
Pay
£22.85 per hour
Note: This role is within the scope of IR35.
