Role Description
We are seeking a Buyer to join our team on a full-time basis in Newcastle Upon Tyne. This on-site role will involve managing procurement activities, liaising with suppliers, coordinating project timelines, and ensuring materials are delivered on time and within budget. The Buyer will be responsible for negotiating with suppliers, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate project documentation, collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders, and contributing to the smooth delivery of projects.
Qualifications / Experience
* Procurement-related skills, including purchasing, supplier management, negotiation and cost control.
* Project coordination skills, such as timeline management, team collaboration, and documentation oversight.
* Strong organisational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively liaise with suppliers and internal teams.
* Proficient in software tools such as Microsoft Office Suite
* Experience in the Roofing, Cladding, or Construction sectors is advantageous but not essential.
* Problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude toward challenges in procurement and project delivery.
