Our mission is simple: End Cyber Risk. We’re looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Consultant 3 / Concierge Security Engineer 3 in Newcastle to be part of making this happen.

Your responsibilities:

1. Serve as a trusted security advisor for assigned customers, acting as the key technical point of contact
2. Manage and clearly explain security incidents identified by our Security Operations Center (SOC)
3. Provide timely and effective incident response support during cybersecurity events (no on-call duty)
4. Deliver cybersecurity best practices to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
5. Troubleshoot security and technical issues across diverse environments.
6. Analyze logs and security events to identify patterns, vulnerabilities, and threats
7. Lead technical reporting, documentation, and customer-facing security reports
8. Create and deliver workshops, guides, and training content to improve customer security posture
9. Mentor junior analysts and engineers, sharing both technical and soft skills.
10. Support the continuous improvement of Arctic Wolf’s Managed Detection and Response (MDR) services

What We're Looking For:

Experience:

11. 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity
12. 3+ years of experience in systems, network, or cloud administration
13. Proven track record in IT networking, network security, cloud infrastructure, and SaaS tools
14. Background in risk and vulnerability management
15. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
16. Experience building relationships in a professional, client-facing context

Technical Skills:

17. Network Security: Deep knowledge of network architectures, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies
18. Operating Systems: Advanced hardening expertise for Windows, Linux, and Unix environments
19. Encryption: Familiarity with encryption protocols and technologies
20. Penetration Testing: Ability to assess and interpret penetration test results to guide remediation
21. Security Tools: Hands-on with SIEM, SOAR, EDR, UTM, and honeypots.
22. Cloud Security: Understanding of cloud platform security measures (AWS, Azure, etc.)
23. Security Frameworks: Advanced knowledge of frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, etc.

Consulting Skills:

24. Risk Management: Ability to assess, prioritize, and manage security risks aligned with client needs
25. Strategic Planning: Capable of developing and executing end-to-end security strategies
26. Communication: Strong ability to convey complex security concepts to non-technical audiences
27. Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
28. Project Management: Skilled in managing and delivering on technical security projects
29. Client Relationship Management: Adept at maintaining long-term client partnerships through trust and value delivery
30. Training & Mentoring: Able to educate junior staff and clients on cybersecurity best practices
