The school supports pupil aged 11-19,with bespoke approaches tailored to EHCP outcomes. The cohort includes pupils with Autism and range of severe/complex learning difficulties.
The Cookery, Life Skills and Work Experience Teacher will play a vital role in delivering practical, meaningful learning experiences that support pupils with special educational needs (SEN), including Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and social, emotional, and behavioural needs. The successful candidate will deliver a rich, structured curriculum in cookery, independent life skills and vocational experiences. Lessons and activities will aim to develop independence, self-esteem, and readiness for adulthood.
To lead, deliver and continuously develop a high-quality, engaging and inclusive Cookery, Life Skills and Work Experience curriculum that empowers pupils to acquire the knowledge, skills and confidence required for independent living and successful transition into adulthood. This includes ensuring effective coordination with external partners and the delivery of meaningful real-world experiences that promote lifelong learning.
