Ysgol Yr Hafod, Johnstown are looking to recruit a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work in our Resourced Provision Class.
Our Resourced provision class supports up to 11 ALN pupils(age 7-11) with a range of learning needs.
We are looking for someone who:-
* has high expectations of what children can achieve regardless of their level of ability
* is passionate about working with children with ALN and supporting their needs
* promotes high levels of wellbeing and uses positive behaviour management
* has a good understanding of the importance of active learning and supports children with their individual development plans
* can work under the guidance of the class teacher and show initiative and creativity
* will deliver interventions to support wellbeing, literacy and numeracy
* will support the development and maintenance of areas of continuous provision
* has good communication skills with children, staff and parents
* will work well as part of a team.
* will support children to spend time in main stream classes where appropriate.
