Here, you’ll work in a family-oriented environment, supporting a maximum of four young residents aged 8-18 who face social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
About the Role
As a Residential Home Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in guiding our young residents towards success while fostering a safe, secure, and nurturing atmosphere. Your leadership will help ensure that our home continues to be rated 'Outstanding' or 'Good' by Ofsted.
Your Responsibilities
* Assist the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager in daily operations to enhance the lives of our young residents.
* Deputize for the Registered Manager in their absence, ensuring smooth management of the home.
* Maintain high standards in care plans, adhering to legal requirements and Ofsted standards.
* Foster an open, positive, and inclusive environment where children feel they belong.
* Engage proactively with children to build meaningful relationships and enhance their quality of life.
* Manage staff effectively, ensuring fair treatment and adherence to company policies.
* Contribute to menu planning and ensure the quality of food meets our standards.
* Continuously seek personal and professional development in childcare practices.
What We’re Looking For
* A full UK driving license.
* Diploma Level 3 in Working with Children & Young People.
* A passion for supporting young people and a commitment to our ethos.
* Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage staff effectively.
* Excellent communication skills to engage with children, families, and staff.
Working Conditions
This is a permanent, full-time position requiring 40 hours per week. You will be compensated with a basic salary of £27,803.20, with the potential to earn up to £34,523.20 through sleep-in shifts.
