Anopportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, self-motivated MaintenanceAssistants (Engineering) with a background preferably gained in a buildingservices environment, to be part of a dynamic team, who work in a busy, complexorganisation.

Thesuccessful candidate will assist the estates team in providing a comprehensiveengineering maintenance service to help keep our patients, staff and visitorssafe. This will include all aspects of planned and routine maintenance,installation and repair/replacement work on a wide range of buildingstructures.
The successful candidates will ideally haveprevious experience in, and understanding of electrical system in a buildingservices environment.
Althoughprimarily based at Leeds General infirmary you may be required to work fromother Trust sites for periods of time as the service dictates.
Hoursof work are Monday to Friday 37.5 hours plus overtime.

Main duties of the job
To assist with the provision of anefficient and cost-effective maintenance and repair service to all propertiesowned by the Trust.
To undertake such tasks outside ofcore skills (within the competence of the post holder) to meet service needs asrequired.
To assist other trades andcontractors, in accordance with service need.
To ensure that work is undertaken atall times in accordance with health and Safety requirements to ensure theenvironment remains safe for patients, staff, contractors and visitors to theTrust.
To show commitment to and participatein quality improvement activities.
To promote at all times a positiveimage of people with mental health conditions and/or learning disabilities.
To promote at all times a positiveimage of the Estates Department and the wider Trust.

Job responsibilities
Estates Maintenance Workers will be employed on work appropriate totheir core skills.
They will continue to develop elements of other skills, reachinglevels of flexibility and competence to enable them to achieve and apply theability where required.
Responsible for the safe maintenance, assembly, dismantling andrepair of equipment others may use.
