What You Will Do:
Working with the Optima Product Management team, including Regional Product Managers, the Product Specialist will focus on understanding our Workforce Management solution. They will ensure the needs of our UK and European markets are well articulated and represented within the broader Optima Product Management function.
The Product Specialist will gather customer requirements, identify beneficial new functionalities, and suggest ideas for new product features. The role involves close collaboration with multiple Product Managers and all Directors of Product Management. It also requires effective interaction with customers in the UK and Europe, building positive relationships that translate into requirements for feature development. Additionally, the role involves working on client projects, including initial engagement, options appraisal, testing strategies, training, activation, system deployment, and go-live criteria.
Some national and international travel will be required.
Key Responsibilities
Product roadmap contribution:
* Analyze customer feedback, competitors, and market trends to inform product development recommendations.
* Define product feature requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
* Track and report on the progress of product roadmap delivery.
* Enhance measurement of customer adoption and return on investment.
* Develop product roadmap concepts for annual planning.
* Identify and escalate risks/issues impacting the product roadmap, ROI, reputation, or customer experience to relevant stakeholders.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve product objectives, including launches and marketing activities.
* Define product vision, positioning, and strategic direction.
* Identify new opportunities, service improvements, and cost-saving measures.
Commercial:
* Contribute to pricing and profitability strategies for products.
* Support Sales and Professional Services teams during customer engagements.
Experience/Knowledge/Competencies:
* Highly organized and outcome-driven.
* Numerate with strong product/solution knowledge.
* Passionate about collaboration, both internally and externally.
* Ability to prioritize effectively.
* Experience in agile software development (preferred).
* Experience in requirements gathering (preferred).
* Motivated to learn new skills and quick to adapt.

* Comfortable engaging with external customers and partners.
* Ability to work independently.
