What is the Job?
You will directly support the reservations manager, assistant reservations manager and reservations team to ensure smooth and efficient operations in the department with the aim to achieve maximum revenue to meet or exceed the revenue target.

About The Role
Your day to day
* Management of group business, to include: check availability and quote for multiple properties; check bills upon departure and assist with any disputes; manage allocations, series, release and cancellation policies
* Relationship management with our Leisure / Wholesale / Group partners, building strategic relationships with Tour Operators
* Assist the Reservations & Assistant Reservations Managers with agents’ contracts
* Gather groups productions reports and report information to Reservations & Revenue Managers
* Liaise with hotels and department to deal with and resolve groups queries and issues
* Have a clear understanding of the Brands and Brand standards
* Assist in management of PMS and Central Systems
* Awareness of rate strategies and brand promotions
* Be fully cross trained to the correct knowledge and skills to be able to sell and manage each of the properties facilities and systems
* Assist with cover to reservations team for holidays/absence etc.
* Assist reservations team with management of systems
* Be able to report to senior management on behalf of the Reservations Manager
* Partake in any external meetings/show-rounds when required
Accountability
Works within the Reservations Department
Hours of work typically Monday to Friday, but may include occasional evening and weekend shifts

Desired Criteria
* •Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
Required Criteria
* •Minimum 2 years’ experience in a hotel reservations role
* •Proficiency in reservations management systems
* •Experience of managing group business
* •5 GCSEs including Maths and English at grade C or above or equivalent qualification
* •Customer Service Skills
* •Excellent Communication Skills
