Senior R&D Chemist - Polymers | Liverpool | Salary - £40,000 - £55,000 (depending on experience) | Permanent
Role Description
* Leading the development and innovation of new polymer products
* Managing projects relating to the research and development of polymers and composites
* Analysing and interpreting data to drive new product development
* Liaising internally and externally with quality and manufacturing teams to ensure successful scale up of formulations
* Adhering closely to health and safety regulations whilst working in the laboratory
* Supporting quality teams to investigate potential issues and provide improvements
Requirements
* Degree in Chemistry – PhD would be beneficial but not essential
* Significant recent experience in an R&D role in a relevant industry (polymers, coatings, adhesives, sealants or similar)
* Industrial project management experience would be a distinct advantage
* Experience of working in a laboratory/material processing environment
* Knowledge of extrusion and injection moulding would be advantageous
* Ability to travel or relocate to the Liverpool area
* A strong understanding of analytical and physical testing techniques
* Full right to work in the UK
