We are looking for a talented and skilled Sewing Machinist to join our team in a fashion accessories production factory specializing in high-quality hats and scarves. The ideal candidate will be proficient in operating industrial sewing machines to produce stylish, well-crafted accessories. Experience with hand-sewing is a bonus, as we occasionally require fine details and hand-finishing to ensure the highest quality products.

Key Responsibilities: Operate industrial sewing machines to produce high-quality hats and scarves. Follow sewing patterns and design specifications to ensure accurate stitching and construction of products. Work with a variety of fabrics, including wool, cotton, silk, and synthetic materials. Perform quality control checks on finished items to ensure they meet company standards for aesthetics and durability. Cut, stitch, and assemble the different components of hats and scarves, ensuring precision and attention to detail. Collaborate with the design and production teams to bring new patterns and designs to life. Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow safety protocols. Assist in inventory management of materials and supplies needed for production. Desired Skills and Experience: Proven experience operating industrial sewing machines, ideally in a fashion accessories or apparel production setting. Experience working with a variety of fabrics such as wool, cotton, silk, and blends. Hand-sewing experience is a plus, particularly for finishing edges, decorative stitching, or small repairs. Strong attention to detail, with a focus on creating high-quality, precise stitching and finishing. Ability to read and interpret sewing patterns and technical drawings. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, meeting production targets and deadlines. Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in machine maintenance and troubleshooting. Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude. Understanding of safety standards in a production environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Temp to perm, Freelance

Contract length: 24 months

Pay: £12.21-£14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
