Primary Behaviour Support Assistant – SEMH Focus
Location: Sunderland
Pay: £90–£110 per day
Contract: Full-Time
This Behaviour Support Assistant role supports primary-aged pupils who need help regulating emotions and behaviour to access learning.
You’ll work closely with teaching and pastoral staff to help pupils develop coping strategies, resilience and confidence.
Key responsibilities:
• Supporting pupils with emotional and behavioural needs
• Helping de-escalate challenging situations calmly
• Encouraging positive routines and behaviour
• Supporting learning activities
• Acting as a consistent, trusted adult
Ideal for someone with SEMH, care or youth work experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
