The team are looking for an Assistant Accountant to support their Finance Director in a broad and busy role. Your new role As the Assistant Accountant, you will play an integral role in the day-to-day running of the finance function, supporting multiple Business Heads in providing an overview of each area's performance. Your responsibilities will include: Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns for bookkeeping clients. Assist the Senior Accountants in the preparation of monthly / yearly management and statutory accounts. Communicates with confidence and in a professional manner with key stakeholders while being flexible in their working practices. Assist with any other related accounting work. Assist with any other general tasks on an ad hoc basis. What you'll need to succeed Actively studying towards the AAT accounting qualification Ability to work effectively in a team to complete assigned tasks. Listen to and understand instructions given and execute them well while retaining the guidance given.
