Sealand Survey Centre Ltd are looking for a driven individual to come into a rapidly growing business, installing GPS equipment to Dozers and Excavators in the north west and across the UK. A successful candidate MUST:
* Be able to work as part of a team
* Be physically fit, this job envolves lifting and climbing up and down machines.
* Be honest and respectful Work to a high standard
* Have good organisation skills
* Be able to work away from home - On average you will be required to stay away 2 - 3 nights per week.
* Have a UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points
As a trainee machine control installer some of the duties will include:
* Attending training courses within the UK and abroad
* Keep the van stocked and tidy
* Install GPS equipment to Dozers and excavators on site
* Staying away from home when required (usually 3 nights per week)
* Repairing existing GPS equipment on machines
* Leasing with machine drivers ensuring they are happy with the GPS equipment
* Fabricating/preparing equipment at our head office
* Keep the warehouse clean and tidy and stock check parts
Welding and fitting experience would be a benefit but not essential.
A positive attitude and ability to learn is more valuable to us than experience. Our experienced team are prepared to work with the right candidate and help develop their skills.
You will be required to take regular drug tests to attend the sites.
Full training will be provided.
Salary will depend on your experience. Overtime @ time and a half is also paid for hours worked outside office hours which are pm. Quarterly progress reviews will be carried out.

Rather than having more staff on site working on the ground around the machines, the drivers are now able to check their work as they work on the in-cab screens. We sell and hire these systems and pride ourselves with the high level of back up and support we offer to our customers.
2D systems are typically used with laser levels on site to give drivers an indication of level.
3D systems are typically used with GPS to give an indication of level an position.
