Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and organised Office & Sales Assistant to join our team specialising in car breakers. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, supporting sales processes, and assisting with administrative duties within a busy automotive parts environment. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in the automotive industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. This position offers an engaging opportunity to develop sales experience whilst contributing to the smooth operation of our business.

Responsibilities

* Greet customers professionally both in person and over the phone, providing friendly and helpful assistance.
* Support the sales team by processing orders, updating customer records, and managing sales documentation.
* Assist with inventory organisation, including stock checks and organising parts for sale or dispatch.
* Provide information about available vehicle parts, prices, and compatibility to customers.
* Handle enquiries related to car parts and services, ensuring customer satisfaction.
* Maintain a clean and organised office environment, including filing and data entry tasks.
* Support administrative duties such as scheduling appointments and managing correspondence.
* Collaborate with team members to optimise sales processes and improve customer service standards.
* Willing to occassionally assist outside the office when needed (shopfloor)

Experience

* Previous experience in an office environment or retail sales is advantageous but not essential, full training will be provided.
* Knowledge of automotive parts or the automotive industry is desirable but not mandatory.
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Proficiency in basic computer applications .This role is ideal for individuals eager to gain experience within the automotive sector while developing their administrative and customer service.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week

Work Location: In person
