Exclusively partnered with DATAHEAD
A leading global reinsurance firm is seeking an Underwriting Governance Analyst to enhance its underwriting management function, with a focus on overseeing delegated authority, risk controls, and governance frameworks across a complex speciality and portfolio.
This is a high-visibility role reporting into the Head of Underwriting, with exposure across coverholders, CUOs, internal committees, and operational governance teams. It's ideal for someone who’s confident working with contracts, audits, and oversight processes and who enjoys owning documentation and guiding compliance from the inside out.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Lead the monthly underwriting oversight process – monitoring performance, testing controls, and feeding into key governance forums
* Coordinate the coverholder audit cycle, binder reviews, and annual planning updates
* Own and maintain governance documentation, process manuals, and oversight reports
* Support compliance with delegated underwriting authority (DUA) frameworks and sub-delegated binders
* Collaborate closely with stakeholders in Underwriting, TechOps, Partnerships, Claims, and Compliance
What We’re Looking For
* London market insurance experience in a governance, risk, or underwriting oversight role
* Proven understanding of coverholder processes, DUA/binder governance, or internal controls
* Strong written communication – able to review slips, document audits, and produce clean reporting
* Background in underwriting operations, internal audit, or risk & control is highly valued
* Curious, process-driven mindset with an eye for continuous improvement
* Exposure to MGA/coverholder frameworks or MHA standards is a plus, but not essential
* Comfortable operating across functions and geographies – this is a collaborative role
Why Join?
You’ll play a key part in shaping the underwriting governance agenda — not just delivering BAU, but helping enhance frameworks and guide stakeholders in doing things better. This is a great move for someone looking to deepen their influence in the London market.
