The ideal candidate would have:
* A minimum of 6 years PQE in Court of Protection property & affairs work, with experience setting up and managing PI trusts.
* Extensive experience in high-value Court of Protection work, particularly related to ongoing litigation.
* Experience acting as a deputy/director of a trust corporation.
* Experience making applications for statutory wills, gifts, and other property & affairs-related applications.
* Strong empathetic interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with individuals with disabilities, their families, care teams, and legal professionals.
* A high level of professionalism, pride in your work, and a commitment to achieving client goals.
* Leadership skills to manage and develop a growing team within budget and KPI guidelines.
* Enthusiasm for team building and enhancing the team's internal and external profile.
* Ability to train and mentor others effectively.
* Professional and courteous communication skills.
* Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines and handle workload efficiently.

Main Responsibilities:
* Managing your caseload of Deputyship and Trustee matters, supervising junior fee earners, and providing technical support.
* Meeting clients at their homes, hospitals, or care/nursing homes to discuss cases and set budgets.
* Collaborating with financial advisors on investments.
* Preparing accurate accounts for Deputyship cases, including expenditure forecasts and budgets for sustainability.
* Managing Deputyship applications and related Court of Protection procedures.
* Delegating and supervising tasks to team members.
* Supervising staff through regular meetings and appraisals.
* Contributing to team meetings and training sessions.
* Engaging in business development activities.
