Service Delivery Administrator - Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service - Cookstown

Join the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service in Cookstown as a part time Service Delivery Administrator and support the coordination and delivery of key administrative functions within a busy operational environment. About the role:
1. £13.97 per hour
2. Part time - 18 hours per week (can work 2.5 days or 4 days, Friday is compulsory to work)
3. Up to 6 months duration, with possible extension
What you'll be doing in this role:
4. Administer internal systems, including staff training and development of user-focused documentation.
5. Manage complex diaries, coordinate meetings and events, and provide administrative support including minute taking and resource planning.
6. Maintain officer rotas, updating leave, sickness, and training, and escalating any impact on operational cover.
7. Oversee day-to-day administrative functions, ensuring accurate record-keeping across all systems.
8. Prepare reports, presentations, and official documents in line with corporate standards.
9. Act as a central communication point, ensuring effective liaison and escalation where required.
10. Support process improvements, develop guidance materials, and deliver local training.
11. Assist with the coordination and development of reports, objectives, and performance metrics to meet organisational standards.
What you'll need for this role:
12. Possess a Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject (e.g. business administration, IT); and have at least one years’ experience of working in a demanding office environment, carrying out a range of business support tasks
13. OR possess at least 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above, or equivalent, to include English and Maths, and have at least three years’ experience of working in a demanding office environment, carrying out a range of business support tasks.
14. OR have at least five years’ experience of working in a demanding office environment, carrying out a range of business support tasks.
15. Effective planning, organisation, prioritising skills and attention to detail;
16. Effective communication skills (both oral and written) and the ability to provide timely and accurate information
17. The ability to work individually or as a team member
18. Ability to work under pressure of multiple deadlines Competent in the use of Microsoft applications.
19. Possess a current UK/EU driving licence or have access to a form of transport that will permit the candidate to meet the requirements of the post in full.
