Role Overview
The business has grown recently with offices in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester and London, and is looking for an Experienced Financial Services Administrator to join the team in either Edinburgh or Glasgow. The successful candidate will enjoy working as part of the team, helping the success of the business while having a bit of fun. They will also enhance the overall service proposition that our clients need and expect.
Responsibilities
* Provide excellent administrative support to a team of Financial Planners in an IFA environment.
* Prepare written reports and documents to tight timescales to meet customer requirements.
* Undertake necessary research among available products to assist in suitable recommendations being made to clients.
* Ensure customer information is stored securely and updated accurately as required.
* Act as a first point of contact for clients visiting the office.
* Assist with client enquiries and build lasting relationships to enhance the service.
* Communicate confidently with clients on both incoming and outgoing telephone calls.
* Process new business applications.
* Ensure compliance paperwork is complete and accurate.
* Manage new business cycle, liaise with product providers and clients to ensure completion.
The Person
* Minimum 3 years’ experience supporting Financial Advisers in an IFA environment.
* Experience of working with financial services back‑office systems.
* Attention to detail & strong organisational skills.
* Excellent communication skills both with clients and colleagues.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
* Good telephone manner.
* Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently, quickly and accurately.
* Experience working with a range of clients.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
* Focus on client confidentiality and compliance.
* Willingness to learn and develop new skills in the financial services sector.
* Ability to work to and challenge current processes.
* Eager to progress within the profession & business.
* Knowledge of financial planning, pensions, investments & personal protection products.
* Experience of working with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Co‑Pilot and Power Apps.
