Kingswood Medical Centre in Basildon is looking for a salaried GP to join our friendly practice. We are lucky to operate from modern purpose-built premises. We are looking for the salaried GP to work 2 to 3 sessions per week, and we are flexible with hours/sessions required and would welcome any discussion about working pattern and offer a generous salary for the post.
Working as part of our multidisciplinary team, you would be supported by the senior clinicians, if required, and an accomplished admin team. We would be receptive to any special interests that the candidate may wish to pursue.
Main duties of the job
* Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting medical problems, whether self-referred or referred from other healthcare workers within the organisation.
* Assessing the healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
* Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
* Developing care plans for health in consultation with patients.
* Providing health education.
* Recording clear consultation notes to agreed standards using templates provided (Ardens).
* Collecting data for audit purposes and complying with QOF requirements.
* Delivering enhanced services in conjunction with the clinical team.
* All general duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.

We are a GMS non-dispensing practice and look after approximately 10,500 patients with a growing list size and lucky to operate from modern purpose built premises. We are part of Mid and South Essex ICB, and West Basildon Primary Care Network (PCN). The practice is committed to delivering high quality patient care which requires us to have a supportive and cohesive team. We are incredibly proud of how we provide care for our patients. We are rated as CQC Good and are a high QOF achieving practice.
Our team consists of 2 GP Partners supported by 6 salaried GPs. In addition to our doctors, we have other clinicians working for the practice: ANPs, practice nurses, HCAs, and also a variety of support staff from our PCN consisting of Pharmacists, MH practitioners and home visiting service.
The clinical staff are supported by our admin team including care navigators, secretaries, workflow and prescriptions clerk. We are a SystemOne practice and hold regular clinical and practice staff meetings. We are committed to delivering a high standard of care to our patients with both our clinical and non-clinical staff being an essential part of this.

Qualifications
* Fully qualified GP with GMC registration.
* Annual appraisal and revalidation (when appropriate).
* Be on the NHSE medical performers list.
Experience
* Good understanding and experience of chronic disease management, and primary prevention and screening services.
* Ability to take responsibility for your own career development, learning and performance and are responsible for ensuring that all your mandatory training is in date.
* Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies and guidelines, e.g. prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety.
* Commitment to life‑long learning and audit to ensure evidence‑based best practice.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a confidential manner.
