* Providing encouragement and Support - To actively encourage young people to engage with a range of outdoor and indoor activities to build confidence, self-esteem and maximise learning and development of new skills through alternative education to support sustainable outcomes and provide an enjoyable and varied home environment where young people can thrive.
* Making a house a home - To demonstrate the therapeutic importance of maintaining a clean, tidy and homely environment through effective role modelling and education, promoting high standards of physical care, hygiene and safety and demonstrating positive and healthy choices to support children to develop and thrive.
* Accurate recording, reporting and communication - Documenting and communicating all relevant information in conjunction with colleagues and other professionals, to promote and safeguard the welfare of the young people in placement.
