We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team. You’ll work closely with teachers to support pupils’ learning, social development, and emotional wellbeing. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in a setting that values every child’s potential.
This Year 3 Teaching Assistant role begins immediately and is a long-term temporary position.
The Year 3 Teaching Assistant role will involves supporting the class teacher by working with all the children across the class to support them with their learning needs. In the afternoon you would take a small group of children for reading and Phonics.
The school is seeking a patient, nurturing individual who can provide consistent support, keep the child focused, and help meet their individual learning needs. Responsibilities include preparing resources, supporting daily tasks, and maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide general support to the class and on a one-to-one basis
2. Keep the child engaged and on task throughout the school day
3. Prepare daily resources and support learning activities
4. Foster a positive, nurturing learning environment
5. Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff
Requirements:
6. Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification
7. Experience and strong knowledge of Phonics
8. Patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
9. Strong communication and teamwork skills
10. Commitment to supporting the child’s academic and emotional development
