A growing retail business is looking for a commercially minded Furniture Buyer / Product Development Manager to help shape and develop its product offer.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced buying or product professional who understands furniture retail, customer trends, sourcing, and what makes a commercially successful range.
This is a broad, hands-on role where buying meets product development ideal for someone who enjoys both the commercial and creative side of product.
The Opportunity
Youll play a key role in developing compelling furniture ranges that deliver strong customer appeal and commercial performance.
Responsibilities will include:
1. Developing and sourcing commercially successful furniture ranges
2. Identifying product opportunities across category and price architecture
3. Working with suppliers on product development, design adaptations, specifications and costings
4. Negotiating pricing, margins and supplier terms
5. Monitoring market trends, competitor activity and customer demand
6. Managing supplier relationships in the UK and internationally
7. Collaborating with internal stakeholders across trading, operations and leadership
