Role Purpose: Due to success and growth, Darwin Clayton Partner Brokers is seeking an additional Underwriter to join their Underwriting team in Tunbridge Wells office with a hybrid working approach of 3 days from home, 2 days in the office following competition of your training period (working hours 9-5 Monday to Friday). Reporting into the Assistant Manager, and working within a tight knit team, the main purpose of the role is to underwrite insurance risks, negotiate rates, terms and conditions for existing and new business, handle claims and oversee premium collection. Key objectives & responsibilities will include: Deliver a compliant and excellent service to all Partner Brokers and where required clients, through all stages of their relationship with Darwin Clayton To demonstrate a culture of successful and winning delivery Seeking opportunities to expand existing business or develop new business opportunities in support of business plans and its aim “to be the complete broker” Work effectively as a member of your team to deliver against personal or team targets for volume, income or quality measurements To ensure compliance with local procedures, customer service standards and external compliance regulations, e.g. FCA About you As one of our Underwriters, you’ll have great attention to detail and accuracy, being able to communicate and with our Partner Brokers to deliver first class service. You’ll have great commercial acumen and be financially astute, being recognised as a subject matter expert for your product range following completion of your training.
