Job description
Our client, a leading entity within the defence sector, is currently looking for a Senior Detail Designer to join their team on a contract basis. This role is focused within the maritime naval ships discipline and offers an exciting opportunity to work on prestigious and cutting-edge defence projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Developing detailed design solutions in line with specified requirements
2. Creating detailed electronic schematics and layout designs
3. Collaborating closely with engineering teams to ensure design accuracy and functionality
4. Reviewing and verifying design documents and drawings for compliance with industry standards
5. Ensuring all design records are maintained accurately for future reference
6. Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior designers
7. Engaging with project stakeholders to ensure alignment on design objectives
8. Managing multiple design projects simultaneously to meet tight deadlines
Job Requirements:
9. Experience in electronics design engineering, preferably within the defence sector
10. Proficiency in using electronic design software and tools
11. Strong knowledge of industry standards and protocols within electronics design
12. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
13. Meticulous attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy
14. Effective communication and collaborative skills
15. A relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
16. A thorough understanding of the requirements specific to the maritime naval ships industry
