The role
As a Pipe Fitter you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. manufacturing, repairing and replacing pipe work using a variety of industry standard materials
Day to day, you'll do the following:
Documenting and reporting Dimension Control, Traceability and Quality standards.Determining job requirements and planning/configuring equipment materialsInstallations, inspections, diagnosing problems/faults/leeks, testing, repair and maintenance of various pipe systems.
Day to day associated tasks:
Fabrication, Pipe bending, Welding, pipe fitting on sight (on board ship) Manual Handling, HousekeepingIdentify hazards, problems, defects and the need for replacement, adjustment or repair; to ensure compliance with agreed codes, law, working practices and health and safetyCarry out planned tasks in accordance with contract/agreed requirementsCarry out tasks within agreed time limitsEnsure compliance to agreed codes, legislation, and procedures including health and safetyReport to Line ManagerImmediately report problems/failures that may impact on the organisation and/or its clients/customers to Line ManagerCollaborative team working to ensure targets are met and contribute to those of the team as a whole
