Are you ready to make a real difference? We have an exciting opportunity for an NMP or Pharmacist Prescriber to join our Wiltshire service for 12 months due to maternity leave.
At our integrated community drug and alcohol service, you’ll support individuals across Wiltshire, working within a dynamic prescribing service. Under the guidance of our Clinical Services Manager and Clinical Lead, you’ll collaborate with a dedicated team to enhance the wellbeing of those we serve.

Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP) or Pharmacist Prescriber, your key responsibilities will include:
* Conducting opiate substitute treatment (OST) interventions.
* Managing benzodiazepine reductions and alcohol/opiate detoxifications.
* Administering detoxification medications and pabrinex.
* Completing alcohol and opiate detoxification assessments.
* Providing Blood Borne Virus (BBV) screening and vaccinations.
* Collaborating closely with mental health, physical health, and social care services.
You’ll also have the opportunity to:
* Attend local prescribers meetings and one-on-one clinical supervision.
* Participate in national prescriber/clinician meetings for continuous professional development.
* Shape service delivery and contribute to clinically excellent services.
As part of our team, you’ll have access to resources like RCNi for revalidation, indemnity insurance, and support from our Clinical Lead and Clinical Services Manager.
Are You the Ideal Candidate?
If you are registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council or are a qualified Pharmacist and an independent prescriber, we want to hear from you! You should be:
* Confident in managing all aspects of prescribing for opiates and alcohol detoxifications.
* An excellent communicator with strong organizational skills.
* Creative and flexible in developing tailored support packages.
* Empathetic, patient, and genuinely interested in helping individuals from diverse backgrounds.
