Things are changing for Wandsworth Early Help services. We are on a journey of transforming our approach in Early Help to be more focused and targeted, to support the most vulnerable families in our community. We will be proactive at providing targeted and timely support to children, young people and their families who require additional support. We believe that ‘Success Starts with Early Help’ and our ambition is to get this right for every child at the right time.
You will share our aspiration for every child and young person in Wandsworth to be safe from harm and abuse, be enabled to reach their full potential and develop skills for life, enjoy healthy lifestyles and be happy and active members of the community.
About the role
Wandsworth Early Help takes a whole family approach therefore, you will work systemically with children, young people, and their families. You will be responsible for a manageable caseload in the Targeted Youth Support Service, working with young people aged – ( SEND) and their families.
You will be collaborating with families and contributing to achieving the best Targeted Youth support service that puts children and families in the center of all we do. To achieve this well we need the very best professionals to join us on our journey that places children at the heart of our practice.
Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience
1. Level child focused qualification or equivalent relevant experience within Children’s Services.
2. Experience of improving outcomes by working in a strength-based manner with children, young people, and families.
3. Experience in delivering direct work, group work and activities to create resilience.
4. Knowledge of the impact of social GRACES on the work undertaken with families.
5. Ability to provide practical support to children, young people, and families to support them to thrive.
