Your new roleThis business are looking for a Finance Administrator for a 12 month contract. Reporting to our Senior Accountant and Assistant Accountant the role involves working closely with the Finance Assistant Team (Sales & Purchase Ledger). This role is to support the continued delivery of an effective financial accounting service and day-to-day operations of the finance function to the business during the design and implementation of the new Finance System due to go live in April 2026.Key responsibilities:This person will be responsible for Sales & Purchase ledger activities including but not limited to:
1. Coding and VAT rates (accounting review)
2. Aged debtors/creditors review,
3. Supplier & Rent statement reconciliation,
4. Bank Reconciliation
5. Investigating purchase & invoice queries,
6. Preparing BACS payment
7. Credit card processing
8. Journal posting
9. Managing accounts in email box
10. Liaising with suppliers and customers
11. Purchase order processing

15. High level of accuracy and attention to detail
16. Highly organised, proactive and able to work on own initiative
17. Strong team player, willing to assist other team members
18. Experience in a finance background, ideally 1 year minimum
