As part of our team, you'll have the chance to support your colleagues in delivering the quality service our clients expect from us at Howden. From handling new business applications, you will ensure that each of our customers' needs are met with the perfect coverage and pricing. At Howden, we provide plenty of room for professional development. While previous insurance experience is not required, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, as well as strong communication skills, are important. We are committed to offering the necessary training for your success. Above all, we are looking for hard-working, upbeat, and positive individuals to join our team.

Please note this is a full-time, permanent opportunity. You will be based in our Croydon office and ideally be onsite for 2 days per week on average. During training you will be required to come into the office Monday to Friday.

Overview:

1. Assist in achieving new business targets through converting incoming warm leads and self-generated lead work

2. Reviewing client documentation to make sure that information presented is sufficiently comprehensive and accurate to support our quoting process

3. Collating and communicating client requirements to ensure appropriate marketing of risks

4. Preparing and supporting on the review of market presentations

5. Being a friendly face for our clients, helping resolve their queries wherever possible

Knowledge:

6. A minimum of 1 year sales experience (preferably New Business) and be able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of sales and client service

Skills:

7. Customer focused approach, with prior experience gained within a telephony-based service role

8. Accuracy and attention to detail

9. Ability to process work quickly and efficiently

10. Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines

11. Good literacy and numeracy

Qualifications:

12. 5 GCSE A*-C including Maths and English

13. A level (desirable)

14. Cert CII (desirable)
