The Role
:
As a CNC Machinist, you will operate and programme CNC machines, ensuring outstanding component production and adherence to engineering specifications.
Responsibilities:
1. Inspect finished components against drawings and standards, maintaining meticulous quality records.
2. Load and set up CNC programs using Fanuc & M controls, performing edits to enhance production.
3. Manage tooling, equipment, and workspace cleanliness.
4. Monitor machine health and report issues.
5. Endorsing route cards to confirm that operations have been completed and inspected.
6. Propose and report potential improvements in products and processes for enhanced quality and efficiency.
7. Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring the use of appropriate PPE.
8. Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
9. Work independently and as part of a team to meet production goals.
Requirements:
Essential:
10. Previously worked as a CNC Machinist, CNC Turner, CNC Miller or in a similar role.
11. At least 2 years of experience in CNC machining and programming.
12. Experience with G&L horizontal borers, VTL, and CNC lathes.
13. Extensive programming knowledge, specifically in Fanuc & M controls.
14. Ability to read and understand Engineering drawings.
Desirable:
15. Understanding of BOP, connectors & valves.
16. GCSE or equivalent qualifications.
17. Exceptional problem-solving skills.
18. Valid UK driving licence.
