We have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer in Engineering (Higher Education) to join our team at Loughborough College Group, based at Loughborough College.
We are looking for an individual to teach Electrical / Electronic and Control based modules across the department to part-time, full-time and Higher Apprenticeship HE students.
Responsibilities of this role include;
1. To use industry experience and expertise to contextualise learning and develop students’ understanding of electrical engineering and power networks
2. To devise appropriate assessments and strategies and feedback to students through a variety of formative and summative assessment methods
3. To collaborate with staff in the development of excellent learning materials and programmes of study utilising a range of methods and media
What we are looking for;
4. Be experienced in relevant vocational industry setting/academic background
5. Able to demonstrate the ability to motivate students through the use of varied teaching and learning strategies
6. Possess a degree in the relevant engineering subject area (i.e. mechanical engineering, electrical, electrical engineering or a related area
7. A teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
8. Possess a passion for teaching and be able to motivate learners
9. Respect for the colleges aims and values
