We are recruiting for a Security Supervisor role with responsibilities across team leadership, client-facing activities and delivery of security services.
Responsibilities
* Being the team’s key point of contact and ensuring the security team strives for service excellence through first-class management, leadership, customer focus and measured feedback, training and development.
* Build effective teams and drive for results, ensuring Mitie reacts efficiently and effectively in line with SLA and KPIs.
* Lead a security team including security officers, front-of-house operatives and subcontractors in delivery of the above; drive a culture of high-quality customer excellence; lead by example; remain smart and professional in appearance and manner; be client focused and resolve client problems through Mitie solutions; embrace new systems and processes and act as an ambassador to your team.
* Promote all Mitie service lines to deliver sustainable excellence and maximum efficiency; hold regular meetings to engage, motivate and manage your team and communicate the strategy aligned with the wider security business strategy.
* Ensure all team members go through the Mitie Induction; work with HR to handle employee issues according to policy; liaise with your Line Manager for support.
* Attend internal and external meetings as required; create a professional working culture between employees, contractors and clients; coach and develop your team in all aspects of their role; be a Mitie Ambassador at client review meetings; comply with Mitie policies, procedures and Health & Safety policies; undertake additional duties as required.
Person specification
* Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality systems and the management of safe systems of work.
* Able to represent Mitie effectively at internal and external meetings; leads by example; good leadership and management skills; good communication and excellent customer focus.
Health and Safety responsibilities
* Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times.
* Report any deficiencies in systems of work or equipment that may affect service delivery, health and safety or the environment.
* Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training; report issues or training needs to your Line Manager or via the divisional incident reporting system.
Information security
* Ensure compliance with Mitie’s information security procedures in all activities.
* Proactively identify and report security risks to your manager; report actual and suspected security incidents.
