Teaching Assistant (Cognition & Learning Support) – Blackpool
Full Time | Year 2 Support | Start: After Easter until Summer
Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in Year 2 with cognition and learning needs at a welcoming primary school in the Blackpool area. This full‑time role will begin immediately after the Easter break and will run through to the end of the summer term.
The Role
In this position, you will:
* Provide 1:1 support to a Year 2 child with identified cognition and learning needs
* Deliver tailored support with early literacy and phonics development
* Assist with differentiated activities under the direction of the class teacher and SENCO
* Help create a positive, nurturing learning environment to support the child’s academic and personal growth
* Track and record progress alongside teaching staff
What We’re Looking For
* Experience supporting children with additional learning needs (school or childcare settings welcome)
* A patient, nurturing and consistent approach
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a supportive team
* Confidence in delivering phonics support (training can be provided)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
