Role Overview
This is a key leadership role within the Midhurst Macmillan Service, where you’ll oversee the delivery of high-quality palliative and end-of-life care across the community. You’ll lead a skilled multidisciplinary team, providing expert clinical oversight and supporting staff through supervision, mentorship, and reflective practice. You’ll manage complex patient care, ensuring services are safe, responsive, and person-centred. You’ll contribute to service development, governance, and strategic planning, working closely with GPs, hospices, acute trusts, and voluntary sector partners to ensure joined‑up care pathways and equitable access. Your leadership will help shape the future of our service, championing innovation, inclusion, and excellence in care.
Responsibilities
As Clinical Lead, you’ll provide visible and supportive leadership across our specialist palliative care service. You’ll use your advanced clinical skills to manage complex cases, mentor colleagues, and ensure safe, effective, and compassionate care. You’ll work collaboratively with partners across health and social care to deliver seamless, personalised support for patients and families. You’ll lead with empathy, inspire confidence, and commit to continuous improvement.
